2002 This is a storefront for selling specialized software online. I used an open source generic e-commerce application as a base, then I thoroughly modified it to fit the requirements of this particular case: Interface with a major Spanish credit card processor for immediate payments, support of European taxation rules, invoice generation, improved security and more. 2001 I joined the Internet Security team and I was quickly integrated in several communication and organizational ongoing tasks with the goal of ensuring that the company’s security policies were properly followed in all Internet facing systems across Europe (several thousand).
2001 I was providing second level support for internal clients on Apache, PHP, MySQL, and some other related tools running on HP-UX. That included more than one hundred internal sites, most of them in Germany. – present Free public email redirection service I created as an exercise to experiment with the implications of creating and running an Internet service and also to practice CGI programming. With minimal promotion, in two years online people have created more than 3000 forwarding accounts. Now I am improving it with new features in order to increase the number of users and offer a premium (paid) service. 2000 Simple web service for browsing a small database of used cars for sale. My client (the ISP) specially appreciated that they don't have to do any maintenance tasks. 1999 - 2000Facifax Software v 1.2 -- 1.4 (own project) Client/server software for sending fax from Unix applications through a Windows machine. A reseller in Barcelona wanted to distribute this product so I made diverse improvements where needed, including a license control web driven system that allows them to easily obtain new licences or upgrades. 1999 - presentAmnesty International Valencia (charitable project) My first web page in which I began to practice with HTML also contributes to a good cause. We are currently rebuilding it and I provide infrastructure and support to the web developer.
APPLICATION DEVELOPEMENT MANAGER.I have analyzed, designed, programmed and directed the programming and the maintenance of business management applications for the small business. They are modular applications composed of accounting, sales, purchases, warehouse, etc., of general purpose or vertical, standard or to size. SYSTEMS INTEGRATOR.I've organized and coordinated the installation, configuration, deployment, optimization and maintenance of complete information systems: hardware, operating systems, networks, communications, business applications, and office applications. INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGER. I led the technical department of a computing services company, managing a continuously growing customer base: 150 at 1991, 500 at 1998. My function was to analyze, organize, plan, prepare, solve execution problems and supervise work of a technical team of 6 to 12 people, with a high workload and strong seasonal variations.
