This is a virtual shop to sell software components I distribute. To build it, I first evaluated a number of shopping cart applications written in PHP. Among them I selected phpShop, because of its completeness, modular philosophy and well organized code.
Then I took it as base and modified it in many aspects, including :
- Integration with the Sistema 4B payment gateway for credit card transaction processing.
- Easy payment retry in case of failure.
- Support for two interchangeable currencies at ordering time (US dollars and Euros).
- Support for European taxation rules.
- Improved session management and security.
- Automatic invoice generation.
- Simplified password reminder.
- Other minor customizations and corrections.
